Bio
Born of Iowan ancestry, I grew up in a very small California town, but I now live and go to school in Los Angeles. This means that I am a charming blend of midwestern hospitality, rural sensibility, and urban sophistication. Either that, or Iowan stubborness, rustic small-town simplicity (and not in an endearing way), and urbane pretension. I guess it depends which half of the Gemini you end up with. I'm an American Lit major, because I feel like I'm less terrible with words than with the other tools of academia.

But that's all boring. The interesting stuff: I love to cook, but don't really like to eat. This makes for a lot of leftovers. I'm an unskilled but attentive driver. I used to play the piano and like to pretend that I still do. One day I'll live in a lower Manhattan loft decorated in matte black and red mahagony with original art and a commercial range. I love taking and being in photographs, although I'm not particularly photogenic. I used to think that I was very smart. Now I think I'm very average, which is half comforting and half terrifying. My likes include Mountain Dew, getting magazines in the mail (although a Barney's catalog will do in a pinch), and practicing my signature. My dislikes include Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz, uncontrolled wetness (don't ask), and Monty Python. I think good knives are worth their weight in gold. I used to think that I had magical powers. Now I think I have emotional problems. That's what aging will do to you.
(I guess "interesting" is a relative term.)

If you need me, you can probably find me at one of three places: 1) Shopping at the 3rd Street Promenade, Century City, or Beverly Center [check Banana Republic, Armani Exchange, and Macy*s); 2) at LAX, either on my way into or out of town; or 3) taking long walks among big houses. I'm afraid my metabolism will give out any day and walking is just about the only physical activity I can handle.

I'm looking forward to this year because I can cement my place as a WASP pillar in the UCLA gay community with my themed dinner parties and tasteful decor. Oh, if it means anything to you, I'm an ISFJ Protector on the Myers-Briggs personality classification system. If it means nothing to you, just take my word for it, it's super interesting.
